Class Association: Services

The following services are available to all IC Class Association members

Secure website access (from 2015):

The secure area of the website gives access to owners contact details (subject to consent), class yearbook, back issues of sliding seat, tuning information, online ordering of class merchandise, special offers and discounts, online open event registration clothing and a host of other valuable information.

Championships and Open Meetings:

To compete in any IC event in the UK or abroad, you must be a member of the IC Class Association. World Championships are held every three years (next in 2017), and the Europa Cup is held in non-World Championship years. The British National Championship is held annually, and an Premier Open Meeting circuit at a variety of venues throughout the UK is organised. Results from the National Championship and the Premier Open Events are put towards an annual season long Travellers' Series. Details of events are published in the Newsletter, Mailshots, Yachts and Yachting and this website.

Newsletters and Mailshots:

Newsletters are published 1-2 times a year, and mailshots are used to inform members of other events and topics of interest between issues.

There are some privately-owned moulds for the AC and some for the new IC designs. Potential builders to negotiate with owner or moulded shells are available from the class boat builders as shown under the Marketplace section of the website.

Boat Registration and Measurement Certificate:

New boats, including allocation of a number, from Registrations secretary on payment of £50 (from 1/1/14) to BCU Sailing Committee.

Change of ownership, including issue of certificate in name of new owner, from Registrations Secretary (see above). New registrations are free. Please use the form from this link.

Note that a Measurement Certificate is issued for an IC with a named owner, and requires to be renewed on change of ownership.
