Asymmetric Canoe

The AC is essentially a development of the Nethercott IC hull design with an added spinnaker which is limited only by what will fit on the standard 10m2 rig to the mast head and using a bowsprit of up to 1.8m from the bows. Typically most AC sailors have found a 23m2 to provide the biggest practical size where others may prefer 18-20m2 in a blow.

Hull dimensions are strictly controlled to the Nethercott standard and weight is restricted to 87.5Kg with up to 10Kg of correctors fitted to most boats which are generally constructed of carbon fibre foam sandwich.

The spinnaker is raised and lowered using a highly effective single handed pump system.
