MARKETPLACE

This section is provided as a guide on where to buy boats and equipment. Many of the components used in the canoe are made to suit each biat. The class association is also promoting the supply of standard components to allow boats to be repaired or upgraded quickly and keep owners sailing. The following matrix shows the main canoe parts and a list of suppliers.details of the suppliers listed are shown in the attached sections.

For asymmetric canoes, the hull shape is one design with minor changes. There are three moulds in service, two are owned by boat builders one of which will supply boats. The third is in private ownership and may be available through arrangement.

For new rules canoes, there is currently only one active builder based on a Phil Morison design. A plywood kit is available from one supplier, other moulds and shaoes are under development.

There are a number of builders and suppliers who will provide the items necessary to build a complete canoe. Most ICs are completed by their owners, either working from a bare shell or from a more advanced state.
